I’m reading this quote by C.S. Lewis, and it says “God became man to turn creatures into sons: not simply to produce better men of the old kind but to produce new men”, which kinda blows my mind.
Jesus Christ ain’t just some guy from history, or a prophet, but the Son of God who died and came back to life, which is a pretty big deal, if you ask me.
The role of Jesus Christ in salvation and redemption
Personally, the role of Jesus Christ in salvation and redemption, its like, totally changed my life, you feel me.
According to the Bible,
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6, KJV).
This verse, it shows me that Jesus Christ is the only way to get to heaven, and that’s a pretty important thing to know, I think.
I was reading about the apostle Paul, and how he used to hate Christians, but then he became one, and it’s like, a total transformation, you know, and it gives me hope.
The nonprofit organization, Focus on the Family, they also talk about how important Jesus Christ is, and I’m like, yeah, thats true.

As the famous evangelical preacher, Billy Graham, once said, “Faith is notjust knowing what is right, but doing what is right”, which is somethin I’m still working on.
For me, having faith in Jesus Christ, it means I trust that he’s good, and that he loves me, and that he can change my life, which is a pretty cool thing.
It means I can take the Bible seriously, like when it says,
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, KJV), and just, like, trust that its true, you know.
Faith in Jesus Christ, it gives me the courage to do stuff, and the hope to keep going, and the peace to be okay with whats happening, even when its hard, I guess.

How to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
me and jesus, we got a thing going on, its like hes always there for me, no matter what, like a mate or somethin.
The Bible says,
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, KJV).
i’m pretty sure thats what jesus is all about, lovings us alot, not cuz of what we did, but cuz of who he is, so thats pretty cool i reckon.
i was thinkin, C.S. Lewis said it nice, “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts to us in our pain”, and i felt like, yeah, jesus is always tryin to tell me somethin, guide me, and get me closer to him, its like, he’s always on my case, but in a good way.
to have a real relationship with jesus, i gotta do the same thing i do with my mates, talk to him, listen to him, and do what he says, thats how you build a relationship, aint it.
The role of prayer and worship in deepening a relationship with Jesus Christ
prayer and worship, thats like, the key to gettin deeper with jesus, its like, when you anchor a boat, it dont move, even in a storm, thats what prayer and worship do for me.
The Bible says,
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you” (James 4:8, KJV),
and, honestly, i’ve tried it, and its true, i feel god’s presence, and i’m all peaceful, like nothin can bother me.
all them christian songs, from hillsong to bethel music, they help me express my feelings to jesus, like, they’re a bridge or somethin, connectin my heart to his, its deep, man.
i mean, worship music, its like the soundtrack to my life, it reminds me of jesus, and how much he loves me, its a good feelin, you know.
The importance of obedience and surrender to Jesus Christ
obedience, and surrender, thats like, the deal breaker, for me and jesus, its like, if i love him, i gotta do what he says, thats how it works, aint it.
The Bible says,
“If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15, KJV),
and, for real, obeyin jesus, its not about followin rules, its about followin him, he’s the boss, the big cheese, the head honcho.
when i surrender to jesus, i feel, like, free, you know, like a bird that’s been let out of its cage, its a good feelin, and i’m reminded of what mahatma gandhi said, “The weakest person is the one who never surrenders”, so, yeah, surrenderin to jesus, thats a sign of bein strong, not weak, thats whats up.

The teachings of Jesus Christ: love, forgiveness, and humility
Me personally, I found that the teachings of Jesus Christ is what transformed my life, like for real.

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another” (John 13:34, KJV).
This verse, it kinda like speaks to me on a deep level, you know, and it’s all about embracing love and all that.
I been in them situations where forgiving someone was hard, but Jesus’ teachings on forgiving, it helped me to let go of all them bad feelings and grudges and stuff.
As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind”, and I believe that Jesus’ teachings on forgiveness, it’s way more deeper and better.
The example of Jesus Christ: compassion, kindness, and selflessness
The way Jesus Christ lived his life, it’s like a big reminder to me to be more compassionate, kind, and selfless, you feel me?
I think back to the story of the Good Samaritan, where Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors like we love ourselves, and to be kind to them even if they different or in need.
The Bible says,
“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45, KJV).
This verse, it inspires me to be more of a servant, to help people and make a positive impact on they life.

I try to, like, reflect on myself and my actions, and see where I can improve and grow, you know?
I also try to, you know, engage with my community and the world, and look for ways to show compassion, kindness, and selflessness, wherever I can.
As the organization, World Vision, reminds us, “everyone deserves the chance to reach their full potential”, and I believe that following Jesus’ teachings and example, it can make a real difference in people’s life.
Common Barriers to Knowing Jesus Christ
Misconceptions and stereotypes about Jesus Christ
Me, i had a pretty messed up idea of who Jesus Christ is, like, for a long time – it was all based on stuff i’d seen in the media and stuff i’d heard from other people, which, yeah, wasn’t exactly accurate.
The Bible says,
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32, KJV), and I believe that this verse applies to our understanding of Jesus Christ as well.
When we go by whats in our heads, as opposed to whats real, we cant never really experiance the freedom thats comin from knowin Jesus Christ, wich means we gotta be caretful whats fact and whats fiction, you know?
As the famous quote by William Shakespeare goes, “To thine own self be true”, and I think this is especially important when it comes to our understanding of Jesus Christ – like who He is, thats gonna have a big impact on my life, probably.
Past experiences and hurts that hinder a relationship with Jesus Christ
I’ve found thats past stuff, like experiances and hurts, they can get in the way of me and Jesus Christ bein close, leavin me feelin bad, like guilty or ashamed, or even mad at God, wich is pretty messed up.
For example, ive met people who got hurt by the church or someone who says they’re a christian, and thats made it hard for them to figger out who Jesus Christ is, i mean, to them, becuz their view of Him is all messed up from those bad experiances.
The Bible reminds us that
“God is love” (1 John 4:8, KJV), and thats He wants a personal thing with each of us, but its hard to see thats true when your all consumed by the hurt and the anger and all that.
The role of doubt and skepticism in exploring Jesus Christ
Doubt and skepticism, they can be a big deal when im tryin to figger out who Jesus Christ is, and while they can be a problem, they can also help me grow, like, as a person.
The saying goes, “the truth will set you free”, and i belive thats especally true when im talkin about Jesus Christ, becuz when im willing to deal with my doubts and skepticism, i can get a better understanding of who He is, and whats He all about, and thats a good thing, probably.
The Bible encourages us to
“come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden” (Matthew 11:28, KJV), and i belive thats us, like, me and you, who are strugglin with doubt and skepticism, becuz Jesus Christ wants a relationship with each of us, no matter where we’re at, or whats goin on.
Growing in a Relationship with Jesus Christ
The importance of Bible study and scripture reading
me and my journey with Jesus Christ, its like, a lifelong thing… and it all starts with gettin into them scriptures, ya know.
The Bible says,
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV).
this verse, it dont just highlight the significance of bible study, it hammers it home, like, in my relationship with Jesus Christ, and how it help me navigates lifes ups and downs.
I reckon its kinda like tryin to assemble a piece of furniture without the instructions, each scripture is a piece of the puzzle, and as I study, the picture of who Jesus Christ is starts to takes shape, slowly but surely.
for example, when I reads about Jesus and the samaritan woman at the well, I sees this beautiful example of His love and acceptance, and it challenges me, like, to be more like Him, in my daily interactions, with everyone, not just them I likes.
The role of community and fellowship in deepening a relationship with Jesus Christ
fellowship with other believers, its crucial, coz it gives me a supportive environment, where I can shares my experiences, and learns from others, and all that jazz.
as Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with,” and I believes this applies to my spiritual growth, big time.
bein part of a community thats all about the same stuff I’m about, it helps me stay on tracks, and motivated, in my pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ, and I’m grateful for that.
organisations like Cru and YouVersion, they provides me with the resources, and opportunities, for fellowship, and discipleship, and I appreciates that.
How to share the message of Jesus Christ with others
as I grows in my relationship with Jesus Christ, I feels this compel, to shares the message of His love, with others, and I thinks this is a big part of my journey, like, a major milestone.
The Bible says,
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19, KJV).
this verse, it reminds me, that sharing the message of Jesus Christ, its not just a suggestion, its like, a command, or somethin, and I takes it serious, coz.
whether its volunteerin at a local church, or participatin in missions trips, I’m hyped to explores ways, to shares the love of Jesus Christ, with others, and seein how it transforms they lifes, thats the goal, innit.
